German companies who have been operating in China for some time or are currently in the process of entering the Chinese market, regularly face the challenge of how to shape international assignments successfully. There is still a considerable number of German or foreign managers sent to China as expatriates. But more and more also Chinese managers are assigned to a position in Germany.
This event on the one hand focuses on the strategic planning and management of international assignments, and also includes the period back home after the assignment. In addition German companies are constantly recruiting and hiring Chinese (and Western) staff in China. Concerning this topic insights into various current recruitment challenges and useful approaches are given by sharing the experiences of real recruitment cases.
A third important topic of this event will consist of useful information concerning the variety of Chinese Labor Laws and Regulations related to international assignments, recruitment, and on-boarding of new employees in China.
Mr. Kai Mütze, Managing Director of IAC Unternehmensberatung GmbH. For many years he was responsible for the international assignments of a world leading German chemical corporation and established his own company specialized in this field in 2007. The whole consulting process is shaped according to the situation in the target countries with IAC experts of the respective country’s legal and social requirements.
Dr. Oliver Prüfer has worked in leading HR positions for 15 years. He has been running the HR / Recruitment & Training department of German Industry & Commerce Greater China - Beijing since 2012 and recruited many excellent Chinese and Western staff for German companies e.g. in Beijing, Shanghai and Tianjin. He is also responsible for the Sino-German Job Fair, which takes place two times a year in Beijing.
Dr. Nils Seibert, Head of Legal & Investment of German Industry & Commerce Greater China - Beijing. Since 2008 he has been a legal advisor for companies, especially in the field of Labor Law and Human Resources. Before he joined the Beijing office of the German Chamber he worked for big international law firms as well as for Chinese law firms in Germany and China, where he at last was the Head of the Labor Law section.
